While housing prices (new and resale) have largely been increasing since 2005 (from 3 to 15.3 percent for resale across most provinces from 2008 to 2009), wages have been stagnant. For future post-secondary grads, the aspiration of owning a home may be more far-fetched then they’d hoped.
